Actress, theatre deviser, dancer, puppeteer and occasional clown

Julia has performed at the Center Theatre Long Beach, The Skirball Cultural Center, [Inside] the Ford, the Odyssey Theater and countless small theaters and unconventional spaces around Los Angeles. She is an Ensemble Member of the Rogue Artists Ensemble, a collective of multi-diciplinary artists who create Hyper-theater, an innovative hybrid of theater traditions, puppetry, mask work, dance, music and modern technology. Julia’s work in ensemble based theater has earned reviews in LAWeekly, LA Times and on KCRW. As a full-time puppeteer, storyteller, deviser and arts educator at the Skirball Cultural Center, Julia aims to bring a bit of magic into the lives of children visiting as students and as spectators every day.  Special performance skills include puppeteering full body puppets, Marionette, Rod and Bunraku style puppets, contact improv, clowning, mask work, dance, Grotowski Technique and Viewpoints.
